Four Small Changes...
Do you have enough energy to do all the things you want or do you collapse on the sofa at the end of the working day, wishing you could do more than just clutch the TV remote?
With a little bit of effort and planning you can increase your activity levels and have more energy for life. Follow our week-by-week guidelines to feel the difference in just eight weeks.
Week One
-
Drink more water - most of us don’t drink anything like the recommended 2-3 litres a day. Start with a 500ml bottle on your desk, or carry it around with you, and take a sip or two every so often. When you feel hungry, have a few sips of water before you eat anything, in case your body is confusing hunger and thirst.
-
Move a little bit more. Walk up the stairs instead of taking the lift (start with one floor at a time); walk up any escalators; park your car further away from the office or shops; if your journey is short, try walking.
- Eat at least one piece of fresh fruit every day.
- Eat at least two helpings of cooked or raw vegetables every day.
These four small easy changes are all you need to make in Week One.
